Match schedule

Here you can find all information about the EuroHockey Championships 2025 schedule

Note: The official match schedule for the European Hockey Championships 2025 is expected to be published at the end of October/beginning of November 2025.

However, the groups for the EuroHockey Championships 2025 were already drawn on September 12, 2024. You can find all information about the groups here.

Women

Women Group A

In Group A, “the classic” awaits all field hockey fans in the group stage. For the first time since 1991, the German women will face the Netherlands in a European Championship group match. Germany last played against the dominant European and world champions in the group phase at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Ireland and France complete the women's Group A. Ireland achieved their best result to date with fifth place at the EuroHockey Championships 2023 in Mönchengladbach.
The French, on the other hand, are newcomers to the EuroHockey Championships.

Women Group B

Group B for the women at the EuroHockey Championships 2025 in Mönchengladbach is a tough one. Olympic fourth-placed Belgium go into the group as favorites. England, who finished fourth at the last European Championships in 2023, will certainly want to claim a place in the semi-finals. But Spain, who reached the quarter-finals at the Olympic Games in Paris, will also be going all out for a place in the semi-finals. Scotland will be the underdogs in Group B. They finished the 2023 EuroHockey Championships in penultimate place. The Scots qualified for the European Championships in Mönchengladbach in August by winning the qualifying tournament in Glasgow.

Men

Men Group A

With reigning Olympic champions the Netherlands, runners-up Belgium and surprisingly strong Olympic fourth-placed Spain, the men's Group A guarantees top matches and absolute world-class field hockey. Austria will have to excel in this group to stand a chance against the absolute top teams in Europe.

Men Group B

Germany and England met in Group B in the preliminary round. Under the floodlights in Mönchengladbach, England beat the HONAMAS in a penalty shootout in August 2023 to reach the final and ultimately win the silver medal.
France are likely to have been dissatisfied with their performance at the Olympic Games, finishing bottom of their group, and will face Germany again in their group after the 2023 EuroHockey Championships.
Newcomer Poland completes Group B. Poland had prevailed in the qualifiers against three teams ranked higher in the world rankings and thus secured their participation in the European Championships.
