Volunteers are indispensable for a major event like the European Hockey Championship 2023. Volunteers are the heart and soul of an event and, with their commitment, help to make EuroHockey 2023 a particularly familiar, communal and personal event for all visitors.

We are proud of our great volunteer community in the German Hockey Federation. You want to become part of the field hockey volunteer family and experience EuroHockey 2023 behind the scenes as well? Then sign up now!
Whether in visitor service, as a shuttle driver or as a team guard, we need every helping hand and look forward to your application!

How long you want to be there is up to you. Whether four to ten event days or even before the event - there is something for everyone. But of course: the longer, the better. Choose your three favorite areas from more than 10, tell us your strengths in the application form and we will schedule you accordingly.
As a volunteer you must be at least 14 years old - there is no upper limit.

Ball kids and player escort wanted!
Ball kids: Children and young people aged 12 and over are given the opportunity to get close to their role models and take an active part in international matches. With special ball kids clothing and direct involvement in the match action, the ball kids stand out from the other volunteers. Our ball kids teams are professionally supervised and extensively instructed in their activities. For many, an assignment as a ball kid is just the beginning in international field hockey and volunteering. It is important to know the rules and to have your own protective equipment (mouth guard, shin guards, field hockey shoes) - you should already play field hockey to be a ball kid at EuroHockey 2023!
Player escort: You would like to accompany the national team on their way to the pitch as an player escort (any age up to birth year 2008)? Be up close and personal with the field hockey stars of Europe.

Then, please contact us by mail at volunteers@deutscher-hockey-bund.de. As soon as the registration is open, we will contact you directly. This way you will be the first to know when we start and you can secure one of the coveted places.
